District Council No. 51 is an affiliation of chartered local unions of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, AFL-CIO with over one hundred years of dedicated service in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Vicinities.
District Council No. 51 currently has over 2000 active members representing a truly diverse and multi-talented workforce made up of painters, decorators, paperhangers, drywall finishers, glaziers, glass workers, bridge/industrial painters, sign & display workers, paint makers, civil service workers, as well as, employees in various private and public sector positions.
